This is a 2 hour teacher training workshop. As technology becomes more prominent in classes, PowerPoint is being used more in the classroom as a teaching tool, as well as by students for assignments. You will learn tools, strategies and guidelines for using PowerPoint, you’ll compare presentations, discuss pros and cons of using PowerPoint, learn valuable steps to create successful presentations, and help students do the same! Included is a tutorial on PowerPoint. A variety of interactive methods will be used throughout the session.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the benefits and drawbacks of using PowerPoint
- Identify what constitutes an effective presentation
- Help students use PowerPoint in class
- Create grading criteria for marking student PowerPoint presentations
- Create, save, open, insert objects, use master slides, animate and print a presentation
